Able to Leap Tall Buildings / Camille Slayton (congregant)
My favorite memories involve Fritz and his summer interns each year taking on the challenge of building, and rebuilding, the drama sets for Vacation Bible School. No matter how crazy my ideas are he is somehow able to switch hats (and belts) and fit carpentry and set design into their busy schedule.
Where else could we find a pastor who is able to teach 2 Bible Study classes, teach Sunday School, preach an excellent sermon, build a drama set, officiate at a wedding, fill in driving the CASA bus, move furniture, host a Movie Night, all in one week! Not to mention extra work with Presbytery and Columbia. And I'm sure Ann has plenty of honey-do's at home.
I stay amazed and thankful for your patience and energy.
Blessings!/ SherylLynn Frazier

As one of those who checks “attends here regularly,” I should probably feel embarrassed to add a post. However, I could not miss this opportunity to tell you what a blessing it has been for me that you are at JKPC. Having been raised the child of a Princeton trained Presbyterian minister, I can’t shake the hunger to leave church on Sunday still thinking about theological base and the real world call to action I hear in the message of the sermon. What a personal blessing to me your service at John Knox is. I can only image what your five years there have meant to the long time members.

Happy 5th anniversary with the JKPC folks! We really appreciate your leadership both spiritually and administratively (spoken like an elder!). Thanks for all you do.
You have been a great help and comfort to our congregation in a particular time of many needs. You have been a religious leader, counselor. teacher, encourager, prayer, preacher, visitor of the sick and dying, moral leader, conscience, mission leader and at times missionary and partner in debate on many subjects. We truly believe you were God sent to our small, but not insignificant church. We love you and your family as members of our family.

Fritz,
Really nice to see you are doing so well. The evening we spent with you and your family circa 2001 remains one of our fondest memories when we lived in Atlanta. As you know we moved in 2001 to New Hampshire. Now we are in the process of moving back south. I found your picture while going through all papers, and I had to Google you - and here you are!

Fritz - I must agree with Hal Shaw and utter those words wives rarely say to their husbands...but Floyd was RIGHT! You have been a gift to our congregation and to our family as friend and mentor. You always make us think...whether I want to or not! I am looking forward to answering God's call in JKPC with CASA and am very glad it's a walk you will be taking with me! Your friend, who may be "short" in some areas, but very LONG on admiration of your gifts! StaciClose

I have always felt that everything in life happens for a reason and that you go nowhere by accident. It was not by accident that you were led to John Knox. You were (and are) just what we needed at a time of unrest. Your overall perspective of life and the world in general brought us back to realize that life needs to go forward, not backward. You have been a blessing to us and know that the future of John Knox is definitely in good hands because of your guidance.
Congratulations on your 25th Anniversary! It is a great accomplishment and one well deserved.

Congratulations on 25 years! Wow - How old does that make you ?!? (Much older than me obviously!) I always know that I can count on you to give me new perspectives, biblical and theological, on what I intend to teach to the Jr. High - even when I've already decided what I was going to talk about. I always learn something from those diatribes -- ahh -- discussions!! (Even if they do blow apart what I thought to be true!) Congrats again on this accomplishment. I hope that your day is fun!

Bro Fritz!
Heartiest congrats on reaching this milestone! You have blessed so many in and through your ministry over the years in all sorts of settings (even Iowa!) among faithful sisters and brothers in Christ with all sort of persuasions, opinions and beliefs. And you've welcomed them all to join in the ongoing conversation you've had with God throughout your ministry. You're something else - a pastor personified!!
Kay and I look back fondly on our times together with you and Ann Clay, surely the smartest, chicest, most thoughtful, faithful and fun couple we've known. We are thrilled that our paths crossed and pray that they will continue to do so.
With warmest wishes for you and your ministry at John Knox and with the hope that nothing I've said is inappropriate... Phil Close
